Just Painting

Mary Sheehan Winn posted a link to my blog on her blog, "Just Painting." Thanks so much, Mary! I love to visit other artists' sites. I enjoy peeking inside studios and reading about their creative processes. Mary's paintings are fabulous studies of color and light (2 of my favorite subjects). Please visit to view her work and enjoy her writing!

Another snow pic

This snow makes me want to photograph everything. I, of course, took many pictures of my son. I don't put those on the internet for obvious reasons. This struck me today, though, and I just had to photograph it. This is a ceramic face done by Mao Creations. I've had it for many years. It just looked so wonderful with snow on it. Please visit his MySpace page. I hope he revisits his Etsy shop!

Etsy Storque Glass Article

Vanessa (Etsy Admin.) published a fabulous article on glass in the Storque, Etsy's online magazine. The article features an informative interview about blown glass with providenceartglass. Have you ever wondered how blown glass is made? The article has wonderful information and videos detailing the process. One of my candle holders was featured in the Related Items section. You can view that by clicking on the pic of that section. Click on the pic of the glass blower to read the article. Enjoy!

Blue Ribbon!!

I'm a little late posting this, but let's play catch-up...

At the end of May I vended at Festival in the Park in Roanoke. I won First Place in 3 Dimensional Non-Wearable Art! Yippee! The cash prize was much appreciated as Monday's weather and traffic tanked. I did very well on Friday, though, so I'm pleased.
