Monday, Monday...

Well, I sent my little boy off to Kindergarten again. They have a drop-off. A teacher gets the child out of the car and is supposed to walk him to the cafeteria, where his teacher will collect her students and walk them down to class. The teacher got him out of the car and just sort of nudged him in the direction of the cafeteria. I pulled in to a parking space to watch. He looked so confused, but finally went in. With really little kids, it is so important that that things happen the way they are told it would happen. Tomorrow I'll let him get out of the car by himself and walk in on his own. At least he'll know what to expect. I hope it went Ok today.
On a different note, here is a fabulous treasury in blues:

Treasury Search

Today via the forums I found out that Etsy has made the Treasuries searchable. This is wonderful! No more wondering where hits on an item may have come from. I simply type "wishartglass" in to the search bar and voila! It shows any treasuries that I am in. Interestingly, there were 5 treasuries that I had no knowledge of! Here they are, better late than never:

This is a beautiful treasury in shades of blue and light amber. There were thunderstorms all day today, so this collection was a welcome respite from the dreary day. My Square Sun Suncatcher was featured.

Blue Like Jazz

EskimoKissez included me in her first Treasury, titled, "Blue Like Jazz." This is a really good first Treasury! It definitely has a noir feel. My Cobalt Streak Lantern was featured. Eskimokissez makes beautiful candles. She included her Starburst Palmwax Candle in this Treasury. It is available in 8 colors and 33 scents!

lavenders included my Fused Glass Lantern in Blues for her treasury titled, "Blue Lagoon." It is a beautiful collection of blues with both vibrance and depth. Well done! Please check out her handmade wire jewelry. I love her Petite Hoops with Pearls.

Electric Blue and Sea Goddess

Two new Etsy Treasuries!
First, "Electric Blue," curated by DefiantDamsel. Cobalt blue with a rock-n-roll edge! My Cobalt Streak Lantern was included in this clever collection. Check out DefiantDamsel. I guarantee you have never seen seen a crossstitch Joan Jett before! (Edward Scissorhands is hers, too.)
Next, "Sea Goddess," curated by BethanyRoseDesigns. This is a very sophisticated aqua and purple themed treasury. My Dragonfly Light catcher was included. Bethany Rose, like her treasury, does very elegant hand-beaded designs. I really like her MapleSugar-Whisky Quartz earrings.
Thanks ladies!

Etsy Finds Decor: You're Invited for Tea

Wow! Iheartmoustaches wrote this article for Etsy's Storque. Inspired by Susan Borgen's home and her blog The T-Cozy, it highlights shabby chic and Tea House style. My Cobalt Lantern was featured as one of the related items. Enjoy the article!

Preschool Fundraiser
Last night my husband and I went to a fundraiser for my son's school, The New Greenbrier Preschool. He loves it there and we have been thrilled with it. We try to do whatever we can to support the school. I'm on the Board of Directors (although sometimes I not sure how useful I am there). I also donated one of my necklaces for the Silent Auction. There was a bidding war over it! I was so pleased. Not only did that make me feel great, but it brought in more than I hoped from my donation. That necklace has found it's home, but here's a picture and link to another in the same line. My son also sold his first painting. We purchased his Flower Painting for $10. It will be framed, hung, and enjoyed for many years.
