Pleased visit and click on the items! Many thanks to these wonderful curators!

Etsy Project Embrace

I have been keeping my eyes open for a team to join on Etsy. I'm not much of a rah-rah-ree person, so a lot of the teams I looked at didn't seem like a match for me. A little while ago, RoughMagicCreations included me in a treasury of hers. You can read the post for it here. She noted that many of the featured artists were members of Etsy Project Embrace. I looked it up and was intriqued. Project Embrace was started to "create awareness and support for people who have been diagnosed with Cancer." Many members of the team donate a percentage of their sales to the American Cancer Society. I thought that the mixture of community and cause would be right for me. I've decided to do donate $5.00 from any item with my new Kiku Flower motif on it. I have a Fused Light Catcher shown above and am working on a candle holder and 3 colors of necklaces. They will be available later this week. A lantern design will follow in mid-July (after ComFest). You can search Etsy for members' goods by typing the term "teamepe" into the search bar.
The team page is :

Project Embrace members have been so kind to include me in 2 more treasuries! Please click on the pictures above to visit the treasuries. Perhaps you'll find a treat for yourself that helps us help others!

New shop Borednomore by Borednomore on Etsy

New shop Borednomore by Borednomore on Etsy

Wow, it's a busy time for me. I went for a at least a week with no new treasuries and them 3 in a row...

This is quite lovely. It has the colors that I think of as the combination for this season, beige and aqua. It is such a nice combination that speaks of soft sand and cool water. This collection was curated by Borednomore. It is a new collaborative shop of interactive children's books one of whose members also owns yaelfran (included above). My brand new Swirly Fused Candle Holder was included. Enjoy!

Help the Gulf Coast

The catastrophe in the Gulf has left me wondering what I can do. I found a collaborative shop on Etsy that sends the proceeds to OxFam America and the Audubon Society. Please visit HelptheGulfCoast. I have donated my Octopus Suncatcher to the cause. You can view a sampling of donations by other Etsians in the right column of my blog. If you'd like to read more about the effects of deep sea plumes on sea life, please read "What the Spill Will Kill" at Newsweek.com.

Etsy :: Treasury List

Etsy :: Treasury List

glassnwood made a wonderful treasury of stained glass suncatchers on Etsy. If you're looking for one, this is a fabulous collection. It is in the main treasury, so it will expire in a few days. I've included a pic a link to my Small Light Catchers that were included. Please visit glassnwood for fabulously detailed stained glass and hand-carved wood home accents!

This is a beautiful treasury in shades of blue and light amber. There were thunderstorms all day today, so this collection was a welcome respite from the dreary day. My Square Sun Suncatcher was featured.
